I worked with Gwen in 2019 when I was asked by Edwards Lifesciences to share my story as a widow of a sepsis victim and as a patient who had survived sepsis. I have since been working with my state lawmakers to get state-mandated sepsis protocols passed in Georgia. Gwen helped me identify the parts of my story that would be most influential and have the greatest impact on our legislators.
